Glamping website

Luda: a glamping website in Karelia that prices every night

A demo website for Luda, a made-up glamping site on Lake Ladoga: cabins, seasons, trips and a calculator that prices the stay night by night.

Luda cover page: “Glamping in Karelia on the shore of Ladoga” over a landscape

The task

Guests keep asking the same things in direct messages: what two nights in a dome cost in October, whether a dog is allowed and what the sauna costs. The site should work it out and send a ready request.

What we built

  • Three cabin types: capacity, amenities and seasonal prices
  • A booking calculator: dates, guests, dogs, cabin, sauna and hot tub
  • A price for every night, with capacity and season checks
  • A Ladoga landscape drawn by code, and a dark theme

A made-up glamping site on a real lake

Luda does not exist. The bay, the eleven cabins, the prices, the transfers and the corporate package were invented for the demo. The phone and email are not real, and the reviews are marked as samples. The places around it are real: Ruskeala, Valaam, Sortavala, the Ladoga skerries, the A-121 road and the Lastochka train from St Petersburg. We checked them in October 2026 and marked them as approximate.

A calculator that prices every night

The guest picks dates, adults, children, dogs, a cabin, the sauna and the hot tub. Every night is priced on its own: summer, autumn, winter, New Year nights and the off-season cost differently, so a stay across two seasons comes out fair. The calculator checks the cabin’s capacity and the season: safari tents stand only from June to September, and dogs are not allowed in the domes. The line-by-line estimate and the deposit show on the right.

The pricing is plain TypeScript with no framework and has tests for seasons, nightly prices, capacity, dogs and New Year. In the demo the form says the request went nowhere. What else such a site needs is on the glamping website page.

A magazine instead of a landing page

The site is laid out like an issue of a travel magazine about northern Ladoga: a full-screen cover, sections as numbered spreads, cabins in a sideways strip. There are no photos. Code draws the landscape: the sky changes with the season, the water glitters, winter brings ice and the northern lights. The dark theme is the night edition of the same issue.

  • 37 pages are built into static HTML. JavaScript loads only on the booking page, a 9 KB script.
  • Lighthouse on mobile: 100 for all four scores, first screen in 1.4-1.5 s, a page weighs 89-105 KB.

The request with the price can go to the manager in Telegram, and a booking bot can confirm the stay and send a reminder before arrival.
