Website development for a construction company
A website for a company that builds private houses: a catalogue of projects with floor plans and prices, an estimate calculator and photos of finished houses.
Buyers work out the cost themselves and send a request with the numbers already done.
Every other call is the same question: how much is a 6 by 8 house with the finish.
The website has three pictures and a phone number. Our projects sit in a manager’s PDFs.
A friend built our site on a website builder five years ago, and the prices there are still old.
We have built plenty of houses, but the photos are scattered across our foremen’s phones and none are on the site.
What we build
Project catalogue
Floor plan, area, wall material and price on every card. Filters by area and number of floors.
Estimate calculator
Foundation, walls, roof, finish. The buyer sees a line-by-line estimate and the build time.
3D house model
Rotate the house and walk through the rooms. Facade and roof change together with the price.
Finished houses
Real photos, the village, the project and the year. Each house has its own page.
Request with a quote
The manager gets the project, the options and the total in Telegram or by email.
Admin panel
Prices, projects and photos change without a developer.
In detail
Pages a construction company website needs
- Project catalogue. Each card has the floor plans, area, dimensions, wall material and the base price. That is how people search: “frame house 6x8 price”, “log house 8 by 10 project”.
- Project page. Every house has its own address, so people find it by size and material. Inside: options, what the price includes and what it does not, the build time.
- Calculator. The buyer picks the foundation, insulation, roof and finish and sees a line-by-line estimate. That is how the calculator in Yelnik works: every option changes the total and the build time.
- Finished houses. Photos from your sites, the village, the project, the year. Stock renders hurt here: buyers want to see how you build.
- Technology. A wall cross-section, the foundation, the materials. Frame house buyers ask a lot about insulation and vapour barriers, and a picture answers that faster.
- Payment and mortgage. Payment stages and the banks you actually work with. If there is no mortgage option, there is no such block.
- Region and contacts. The regions you cover, the office or show house on a map, phone and messengers.
How much a construction company website costs
| Option | Price | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Project catalogue and calculator, no admin panel | from $190 | 1-2 weeks |
| Website with an admin panel: projects, prices, requests | from $1,100 | 4-6 weeks |
| 3D house model and calculator, like Yelnik | from $1,100 | 3-5 weeks |
Four things drive the price. The first is the number of projects and whether their floor plans exist in digital form. The second is the calculator. One price per square metre is simple, while a formula with piles, delivery by district and seasonal markups takes more work and testing.
The third is the admin panel, which you need if prices change often or more than one person edits them. The fourth is 3D: each house model is built from its own drawings. That is why it is often done for two or three popular projects, and the rest are shown with plans and photos. More on this on the page about a 3D configurator with a calculator.
How people find a construction company in search
Someone choosing a builder searches for a specific house in a specific place: “frame house construction in Moscow region”, “aerated concrete house 10x10 price”. Each of these needs its own page.
- A page per project, with size, material and price in the title and h1.
- A page per material: frame, log, aerated concrete. The region goes in the title if you work in one or two regions.
- A page per district only where conditions really differ: a different foundation on wet ground, different delivery, your own houses there. Identical pages with only the district name changed look like duplicates to search engines.
- Prices as text on the page. Searches with “price” and “cost” lead to pages where the number is visible right away.
- Yandex Business and 2GIS listings with a link to the site, photos of your houses and client reviews on the maps.
- Schema.org markup for the company and projects, fast loading on phones. Photos are compressed, and the 3D model loads only when opened.
We do not promise rankings or timeframes. They depend on the competition in your region and on how many real houses and reviews you show.
How we work
- You describe in your own words what houses you build, where, and how you calculate estimates now. No spec needed.
- We estimate the complexity and fix the price before we start. Anything beyond the agreement is estimated separately.
- We show a demo with about 40% of the functionality, and you pay only after that. We explained why we take payment after the demo in a separate article.
- We launch the site on a server and domain bought in your name and hand over the code and access. For a month after launch we fix texts, colours, spacing and images for free.
If your company also does interior finishing in flats, see the page about a website for apartment renovation. You can describe your task in the form on the home page.
Prices in the catalogue and the calculator must match what the manager says on the phone. When materials go up, one person should update the site the same day. The request form collects a name and a phone number, so under Russian law 152-FZ the site needs a consent to personal data processing and a privacy policy.
What it looks like
Yelnik is exactly this: a website for a company that builds timber-frame houses. The buyer changes the facade, roof, insulation and finish, the model and the price update at once, and the calculator gives a line-by-line estimate and a build time. The brand is made up, the mechanics are real and work for log and aerated concrete houses too.

How we work
-
Payment after the demo
We invoice once we show a demo with about 40% of the functionality done.
-
We do the estimate
We assess the complexity and the progress ourselves and explain how we counted.
-
A month of free fixes
For a month after launch we fix small things for free, as long as they add no new features.
-
Your code, your access
You get the source code and access to the server, the bot and the admin panel. Nothing ties you to us.
Questions
Can we change prices and add projects ourselves?
Yes, with an admin panel: prices per metre, options and project cards are edited there. Without an admin panel we change the prices, free of charge for the first month after launch.
We have no 3D models of our houses. Is that a problem?
No. We build the model from the floor plans and facades of your project and estimate that separately. You can also start without 3D: the catalogue and the calculator work on their own.
Will requests go to our CRM?
By default requests arrive in Telegram or by email. If your CRM has an API, as amoCRM and Bitrix24 do, we send them there, estimated separately.
What about hosting and the domain?
The server and the domain are bought in your name and you pay for them directly, usually a few hundred roubles a month. We set everything up and hand over the access and the code.
Do we need promotion after launch?
The site is built for search from the start: a page per project, prices in the text, markup, fast loading. After that a lot depends on you: new houses with photos and reviews on maps.
