Telegram Mini App: shop, catalogue, payments

The shop opens right inside Telegram: a catalogue with photos and filters, a cart and payment without leaving for a website.

What clients tell us
  • We sell through chats: the client asks the price, we send photos, then bank details. One order takes half an hour.
  • Our audience is in a Telegram channel, and almost nobody follows the link to the website.
  • A bot with buttons gets awkward once there are more than twenty products.

What we build

01

Catalogue

Categories, search, filters, product cards with photos.

02

Checkout without sign-up

Telegram already knows the buyer’s name and account, there is no form to fill in.

03

Payments

Through a payment provider connected to the bot, or in Telegram Stars for digital goods.

04

A bot next to it

Order status, restock notifications, a line to a manager.

05

Admin panel

Products, prices, stock and orders. The catalogue can also live in a Google Sheet.

06

Order protection

The server checks the signature of the data from Telegram, so nobody can place an order in someone else’s name.

What it looks like

Pereplyot shows this live: a catalogue with search, a product page, a wallet and a purchase inside Telegram. The balance never goes negative, and a book cannot be bought twice.

How we work

  • Payment after the demo

We invoice once we show a demo with about 40% of the functionality done.

  • We do the estimate

We assess the complexity and the progress ourselves and explain how we counted.

  • A month of free fixes

For a month after launch we fix small things for free, as long as they add no new features.

  • Your code, your access

You get the source code and access to the server, the bot and the admin panel. Nothing ties you to us.

Questions

How is a Mini App different from a bot?

A bot talks in messages and buttons. A Mini App is a web page that opens full screen inside Telegram, with scrolling, photos and a cart. They usually come together: the bot sends notifications, people buy in the app.

Which payment methods work?

For physical goods a payment provider is connected to the bot through BotFather. Telegram allows digital goods to be sold only for Stars. You can also send the buyer to the payment page of your own acquiring.

Can we add a regular website later?

Yes. The backend and the database are shared, the website becomes one more interface to them. The second interface costs noticeably less than the first.

Does Telegram need to approve it?

There is no separate review for Mini Apps. The bot has to follow the platform rules, otherwise it can be restricted.

Who maintains the catalogue?

You do, in the admin panel or a Google Sheet. We show you how, and for a month after launch we fix small things for free.
