Post suggestion bot for a Telegram channel

Subscribers send posts to a bot, moderators decide with one tap, and the bot publishes now, in a queue or at a set time.
Our demo bot works for real: you can connect your own channel and try it.

What clients tell us
  • Subscribers send news to the admin in private messages, and the admin copies them into the channel by hand.
  • Ready-made suggestion bots add their own ads or ask for a paid plan.
  • We have three moderators, and once the same post went out twice.
  • We want suggestions to go out evenly, not in a heap at midnight.

What we build

01

Preview for the author

Before sending, the author sees the post exactly as it will look in the channel and picks a signature: anonymous or with their name.

02

Moderation panel

Publish now, queue, schedule, edit the text, reject with a reason, ban the author.

03

Queue by slots

For example, one post every three hours from 9 to 21. Scheduled posts go out on time.

04

Albums and formats

Formatted text, photos, video, GIFs, voice messages, files and albums of up to 10 items.

05

Several moderators

The server checks permissions, and a double tap never publishes a post twice. Panels can live in a shared group.

06

Limits and bans

How many suggestions per day from one author, a pause between them, a ban for a day, a week or for good.

In detail

How a suggestion bot works

  1. The owner adds the bot to the channel admins and pins a post with a “Suggest a post” button.
  2. A subscriber taps the button and sends the bot a post. The bot shows a preview and asks how to sign it.
  3. A copy with a panel goes to the moderators: to the owner’s private chat or to a shared group.
  4. A moderator picks: now, queue, a set time or reject. The author learns the decision in the same chat.
  5. When the time comes, the bot publishes the post to the channel as a copy, with no “forwarded from” label.

Your own bot or a ready-made service

Ready-made suggestion bots cost nothing as long as you accept their terms: ads in messages, limits, someone else’s rules. Your own bot is paid for once and then belongs to you. It is created on your BotFather account, the code and the server are yours too, and there is no monthly fee to us.

Your own bot pays off where there are many suggestions or the channel earns money: city news, a university channel, a fan community, a board of listings. Those need moderation by several people, a queue and protection from spam. If there is one moderator and five posts a week, a free bot will do.

How much it costs

What is includedPriceTime
Suggestion bot for one channel: preview, moderation, queue, signature, bansfrom $1251-2 weeks
Suggestion bot for several channels: connecting from the bot, moderators, limits, stats, a separate serverfrom $5504-6 weeks

The price depends on the number of channels and moderators, the queue rules and integrations: export to Google Sheets, payments, categories. What a project like our demo would cost is on the Predlozhka case page, along with screenshots of the moderation panel and the queue.

What else lives next to a channel

If the channel sells, a shop inside Telegram with a catalogue and payments can run next to the suggestion bot. For appointments there is a booking bot. What the price of a bot is made of is covered in the article on what a Telegram bot costs.

What it looks like

Predlozhka from our portfolio works for real: you can add @ashehaipostbot to your channel or open a sandbox with no channel. Moderation, the queue, scheduled posts, albums, stats and bans are already there.

We assess the complexity and the progress ourselves and explain how we counted.

  • A month of free fixes

For a month after launch we fix small things for free, as long as they add no new features.

  • Your code, your access

You get the source code and access to the server, the bot and the admin panel. Nothing ties you to us.

Questions

What is a suggestion bot in Telegram?

It is a way to send a post to a channel where only admins can write. A subscriber sends text or a photo to the bot, and an admin reviews it and publishes what fits. The subscriber does not have to find the admin, and the admin does not have to dig through private messages.

How do I set up post suggestions for a channel with a bot?

Add the bot to the channel admins with the right to post messages and pin a post with a link to the bot. In our demo @ashehaipostbot that is three steps: permissions, the channel link and a ready post with a “Suggest a post” button. Your own bot works the same way, with your name, texts and rules.

Why your own bot instead of a shared one?

A shared bot can stop working, it may show someone else’s ads, and your authors’ data sits with someone else. Your own bot runs on your server, looks like part of the channel and can grow: categories, paid placement, export to a sheet.

Does the bot read the channel?

No. The bot sees only what is sent to it and publishes copies of approved posts. It never downloads media, Telegram copies it on its side, and the text of a suggestion can be erased right after the decision.

Can we charge for placement?

Yes. Payment by card through a payment provider or in Telegram Stars can be added, and the suggestion box becomes paid placement with moderation. Payments are estimated separately.
