Video note bot for Telegram: from video, music and photos

The bot takes a video, a track or a photo and sends back a Telegram video note: a round video of up to a minute that plays right in the chat.
Our demo bot makes video notes from music, and you can try it for free.

What clients tell us
  • We want followers to make video notes with our frame and logo and forward them to friends.
  • We release a track, and people scroll past the streaming link in chats. A video note plays at once.
  • Ready-made video note bots add their own watermark and show ads.

What we build

01

Video note from a video

A centre crop into a circle, a range of up to a minute, compression to fit Telegram limits.

02

Video note from music

The track cover on a spinning record, the loudest part or your own range.

03

Your style

A frame, a logo, brand colours or your own turntable. No one else’s watermark.

04

Built in seconds

Everything that does not depend on the file is computed once at start, so a minute of video renders quickly.

05

Queue

Several files render in parallel, each person has a limit, and the rest see their place in the queue.

06

Nothing stored

Files sit in a temporary folder while the note is built and are deleted right after sending.

In detail

How the bot makes a video note

A Telegram video note is a square video of up to a minute that the app shows in a circle. The bot gets the file, cuts a range, draws the frame, builds the video in ffmpeg and sends it as a video message. The regular app cannot do this: there a video note can only be recorded with the camera.

  1. A person sends a video, a track or a photo.
  2. The bot asks which part to take and shows the settings: frame, colour, cover.
  3. The video renders in the background, and the same message shows what is going on: downloading, drawing, compressing, sending.
  4. The video note arrives with a button to build another version.

Who needs it

  • Musicians and labels: a track in a video note with its cover plays right in the chat and is easy to forward.
  • Brands and channels: video notes with your frame and logo travel with it.
  • Greeting services: photos and music turn into a video note from a template.

How much it costs

What is includedPriceTime
A bot that makes video notes from one kind of filefrom $1251-2 weeks
A bot with brand templates, several kinds of files, a server and statsfrom $5503-4 weeks

The price depends on the frame drawing. Cropping a video into a circle is simple, drawing a record with glare and a tonearm, as in our Storona A demo, takes longer. Payment for video notes can be taken in Telegram Stars. What else goes into the price of a bot is in the article on what a Telegram bot costs.

If the bot also needs to sell, see the shop inside Telegram: video notes and a catalogue can live in one bot. And if you run a channel, a suggestion bot will help.

What it looks like

Storona A is our live bot @ashehaipulsebot: send a track, and a few seconds later you get a video note with a record and the track cover in the middle. The bot is free and stores nothing.

Questions

What is a video note in Telegram?

It is a video message in a round frame of up to a minute. In the chat it plays silently by itself and with sound on a tap. A person can only record one with the camera, while a bot can build it from a ready video or from music.

How does a bot turn a video into a video note?

You send a video, the bot crops it to a centre square, takes up to a minute, compresses it and sends it back as a video note. A regular Telegram user cannot do that, but a bot can.

Can a song become a video note?

Yes, that is how our demo bot Storona A works. It takes the cover from the file, puts it on a record and builds a one-minute note with the chosen part of the track. If there is no cover, the bot asks for a photo or draws a label from the title.

Does the bot keep my files?

Our demo does not: the track and the finished video are deleted right after sending. In your own bot, storage can be set up for the task, for example for a gallery or for sending again.

Does it need a powerful server?

No. The demo renders a one-minute note in about 3.5 seconds in an ordinary container. With many files, the bot queues them and shows each person their place.
