Equipment supplier website

Latun: a café equipment supplier website with a budget calculator

A demo website for Latun, a made-up café and bakery equipment supplier in Rostov-on-Don: a catalogue with drawings, a budget calculator and 16 articles for new owners.

Latun catalogue cover: the name across the page, a drawing of a two-group espresso machine and six sections

The task

Someone opening a coffee shop first searches for what it costs and only later picks an espresso machine. We want them to find us in search, see an estimate for their format and send a request for specific models.

What we built

  • Catalogue: 6 sections and 25 models, each with a dimensioned drawing
  • A budget calculator for three formats, the estimate laid out as an order form
  • 16 articles of 1,200-1,430 words in four sections
  • 33 pages, Lighthouse on mobile 99-100, a page weighs 82-98 KB

A made-up supplier, real articles

Latun does not exist. The company, its brands, models, prices and service rates were invented for the demo, and every page says at the top that no orders are taken. The city is real. Rules on sanitary requirements, tills, marking and taxes were checked against primary sources on 14 October 2026.

16 articles for people opening a coffee shop

People buy catering equipment rarely and read for weeks first, so half the site is articles. Topics come from Yandex and Google suggestions. Among them are “how much does it cost to open a coffee shop in 2026”, “coffee shop equipment list and prices” and “SanPiN for a coffee shop”. That gave 16 articles of 1,200-1,430 words in four sections. Articles on rules say “up to date as of October 2026” and end with primary sources.

The fact check found a change: since 1 September 2026 the new sanitary code SanPiN 2.3/2.4.4282-26 replaces 2.3/2.4.3590-20, and the site refers to the new one.

An estimate laid out as an order form

The calculator knows three formats: coffee to go, a café with 20 seats and a bakery. The visitor sets the area and picks new or checked used equipment. The estimate lists catalogue models. Below are installation, a reserve and a range for the total. Without JavaScript the page shows a ready estimate for a café with 20 seats.

A “Request an invoice” button on every model sheet opens the form with that model chosen. The form checks the fields and sends nothing. How it works for a real supplier is on the equipment supplier website page.

A printed catalogue with brass foil

The site looks like a printed trade catalogue: milk-foam paper, espresso ink, brass foil on the cover. Catalogue, Articles and Estimate are die-cut index tabs on the page edge, and a bottom bar on a phone. Models sit on graph paper, drawn by code: 16 kinds of equipment, proportions from real dimensions, dimension lines in brass. There is no dark theme on purpose.

  • 33 pages in the sitemap, static HTML with no framework code in the browser. The calculator and the form are two small scripts.
  • Lighthouse on mobile: performance 99-100, the other scores 100 on every page. First screen in 1.4-1.7 s, CLS 0, a page weighs 82-98 KB.

The buyer’s side, a café that is already open, is the Kumer shawarma demo.
